ℹ️ About

The Sishui Quanlin Springs Scenic Area at the foot of Peiwei Hill in Quanlin Town, Sishui County, Jining, became a Shandong provincial scenic area in 1998 and a national 3A attraction in 2008. Around Peiwei Hill are 72 named springs and many smaller ones; the main spring flows at 1.35 cubic metres per second at a constant 14-18°C, and the "Shandong Gazetteer" ranks them "first among the springs of Shandong". They are the source of the Si River. Confucius is said to have watched the water here and sighed "thus it flows away", recorded on a stele, and the Kangxi and Qianlong emperors stayed here ten times and built a travelling palace. The four famous springs are Heihu, Baotu, Zhenzhu and Hongshi, and the ancient Bian Bridge is a national key cultural relic site.
