Shibadong Scenic Area is in Shuanglong Town, Huayuan County, 34 km from Huayuan county town and 38 km from Jishou, at about 700 metres altitude. The village takes its name from eighteen connected karst caves, and Miao traditions are kept alive here. On 9 June 2021 the Aizhai–Shibadong–Dehang Grand Canyon scenic area, formed by this area and the Aizhai Wonder area, was rated a national 5A tourist attraction.
