ℹ️ About
The Shenzhou Yingyi Charity Granary at 107 Boling Road, Shenzhou, Hengshui, covers about 3,428 square metres. Built in 1898 at the government's urging by local people as a famine-relief store, it held grain for distribution to villagers in bad years. Built as a traditional northern courtyard complex, it is a typical example of the Qing grain-storage system in northern China and the only fully preserved Qing granary in Hebei, once called the "First Granary under Heaven", with careful design for ventilation, fire, damp and earthquakes. It was listed as a national key cultural relic site in 2013.
