ℹ️ About
Shengfang Ancient Town, 35 kilometres east of Bazhou, is a national 3A attraction with a town area of 104.7 square kilometres and is open free all day. Founded at the end of the Spring and Autumn period, it is known by the saying "Suzhou and Hangzhou in the south, Shengfang in the north". In the Ming and Qing dynasties it grew into a northern trading town thanks to Grand Canal shipping, and it keeps its "three treasures" (an opera stage, a memorial archway and the Wenchang Pavilion) and Qing-dynasty houses. Its core keeps canal lanes and four old bridges, forming a northern water-town landscape.
