Riyue (Sun and Moon) Gorge National Forest Park is in Tieli, in the Mayongshun forest farm of the Tieli Forestry Bureau on the southern slopes of the Lesser Khingan Mountains at the head of the Hulan River. Covering 29,708 hectares, it was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration in December 2000. The main area is enclosed by four peaks, including Tenglong and Wohu, and its signature sight is "Sun and Moon Shining Together". Forest cover is 95%, with virgin Korean pine forest, over 600 medicinal plants and drinkable spring water. There are eight scenic areas with more than 130 sights, including hiking trails, virgin-forest walks and rafting on the Yijimi River.
