The Qujialing Site spans Quling Village in the Qujialing Administrative Area of Jingmen and Gaodun Village in Yanmenkou Town, Jingshan, covering 2.84 square kilometres. Discovered in winter 1954, it lies in the hills where the southern foot of Dahong Mountain meets the Jianghan Plain and is a major nationally protected site.
