ℹ️ About

Mo Yan's Former Residence is in Ping'an Village, Dalan Township, Gaomi: a single-storey earthen house of five rooms, about 60 square metres in all, built in 1912 and renovated in 1966. The Nobel laureate Mo Yan lived here for about 22 years, and the house keeps objects from his early life, with a courtyard in front. After Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2012 it became a tourist attraction, linked locally with the Mo Yan Literature and Art Museum. Admission is free.
