The New Year Picture Village in Xiaode Town, Mianzhu, covers 7.5 square kilometres and was formed in 2010 by merging two villages. Built around Mianzhu New Year woodblock prints, a national intangible cultural heritage, it is a 1,750-mu national 4A scenic area where the prints are made, shown and sold. Western-Sichuan farmhouses decorated with the prints line its lanes, and it has a training workshop and study centre for the craft.
