The Hundred-Li Flower Sea lies in the basin between the Qilian and Daban mountains in Menyuan Hui Autonomous County, from Qingshizui to Yulongtan. Its centrepiece is nearly 100 kilometres of rapeseed fields over 535 square kilometres. It became a national 4A attraction in 2008; every July the fields bloom gold against snowy peaks and blue sky.
