Luanzhou Ancient City in Luanzhou Town, Luanzhou, Tangshan, is a northern-style historic town combining culture, tourism, shopping and leisure. The city was first built in 923 under the Liao dynasty. Rebuilding on the original site began in 2010 over 2,000 mu, and by 2014 a complex in Ming-Qing style with a Jiangnan water-town flavour was completed, recreating the old city gates, the county yamen of the Yang Sanjie lawsuit story, the bell and drum towers, a reception pavilion, an old opera stage, a covered bridge, Luanzhou Pavilion and Wenji Tower.
