The Longhui Huxingshan Huayao Scenic Area in the northwest of Longhui County covers 102.5 square kilometres across Huxingshan and Xiaoshajiang townships and is a national 4A attraction. It was approved as a national scenic area in 2009. Its main sights are the Wanguanchong terraces, the Datuo "stone waterfall" and the Wangxi waterfalls; the Datuo stone waterfall, more than 300 metres high, is the largest of its kind in China. About 7,000 Huayao people live here, whose cross-stitch embroidery Shen Congwen called "world class", and Chongmudang Village was among the first Chinese traditional villages listed in 2012.
