The Li Shizhen Memorial Hall at 168 Shizhen Road, Qizhou Town, Qichun County, covers 60,000 square metres with 7,000 square metres of buildings and commemorates the Ming-dynasty physician and pharmacologist Li Shizhen, who spent thirty years writing the Compendium of Materia Medica, called "the great canon of Eastern medicine". The memorial hall was formally established in 1985 and is a national patriotic education demonstration base.
