Leizhou West Lake in the north-west of Leicheng Town, Leizhou, is a national 2A tourist attraction open free of charge. Anciently called Luo Lake, it was renamed West Lake after Su Shi and his brother Su Zhe boated here in 1097. The Su Gong Pavilion on its island dates from the Jiajing reign of the Ming dynasty.
