The Jiumenkou section of the Great Wall stands where Xintaizi Village in Lijiapu Township, Suizhong County, meets Jiumenkou Village in Qinhuangdao, Hebei. First built under the Northern Qi and enlarged in 1381, it belongs to the eastern Jizhen section of the Ming wall and is known as the "first pass east of the capital". It is a major nationally protected site.
