ℹ️ About
The Huozhou Prefectural Office at No. 16 East Street, Huozhou, is a national 4A attraction. First built at the end of the Sui and start of the Tang dynasty, it is China's only fairly complete surviving prefecture-level government office; its Yuan-dynasty main hall was called a unique example by the architect Liang Sicheng. Together with the Forbidden City, the Zhili Governor's Office and the Neixiang County Office it forms a four-tier set of imperial government buildings. It became a major national protected site in 1996.
