ℹ️ About
Huoshizhai, in northern Xiji County, Guyuan, stretches 17 kilometres north to south and 10 kilometres east to west over 97.95 square kilometres at 1,960-2,650 metres. It is the most typical and highest Danxia landform group in northern China, named "fire-stone fort" because its dark red rocks look like flames against green trees, and it is famed for strange hills, odd rocks, sheer peaks and lush trees. It is at once a national geopark, national forest park, national nature reserve and national 4A attraction, with a geology exhibition hall.
