ℹ️ About

Huangcangyu National Forest Park lies in the southeast of Xiao County, Suzhou (Anhui), covering 26.5 square kilometres. A national forest park and national 4A attraction, it combines hills, water, woods, springs, natural caves and groves of ancient trees. According to the Book of Han, Liu Bang, the future founder of the Han dynasty, once hid in the Huangcang ("Emperor's Hiding") Cave here, which gave the valley its name. Sights linked to the Liu Bang legend include the Huangcang Cave, Mapa Spring and Bajian Spring; there are also the book-drying ground, book cave and inkstone pool associated with Confucius's teaching, a gallery of stelae bearing poems by generals such as Chen Yi and Luo Binghui, a viewing peak, a glass suspension bridge and a glass slide.
