Heixiazi Island, also called the Fuyuan Delta, lies at the confluence of the Heilongjiang (Amur) and Ussuri rivers on the China-Russia border. It covers about 335 square kilometres, of which about 171 are on the Chinese side under Fuyuan, and it is the first place in China to see the sunrise. The island is part of the Sanjiang Plain wetlands; sights include the Heixiazi Island Wetland Park.
