Haikou Shishan Volcano Geopark is a UNESCO Global Geopark containing 40 Quaternary volcanic craters formed 6,000–40,000 years ago, making it one of China's best-preserved volcanic landscapes. The park covers 108 km² on the Leizhou Peninsula and includes the 222-meter Ma'an Peak (with panoramic views), basaltic lava caves, and rare geological formations. The surrounding villages use volcanic stone for traditional building.
