Feilong Lake, near Yingtaojing in Yuqing County, is a reservoir formed by the Goupitan hydropower station. The lake, the Yuqing section of the reservoir, covers 23 square kilometres across Goupitan, Dawujiang, Aoxi, Longjia and other towns. With 34 islands and many peninsulas, it forms a landscape of lakes and gorges in alternation and is the core of the "Thousand-Li Wujiang Gallery". The average annual temperature is 16.4°C. It was approved as a national wetland forest park in 2012, and its dam is the highest in Asia built on karst terrain. Leisure and water-sports activities are offered; it is 50 km from the Yuqing county town.
