Dongshan Ridge lies 2 kilometres east of Wanning and covers 10 square kilometres. Its three side-by-side peaks, the highest 184 metres, resemble a brush rack, hence its other name Bijia Mountain, and it is known as the "First Mountain of Hainan". It has geological wonders such as a wind-rocked stone and thirty-six caves, and more than a hundred cliff inscriptions.
