The Yellow River Dayudu Scenic Area lies on the Yellow River 10 km southeast of Ruicheng county town and covers 4.5 square kilometres. It centres on the Dayudu electric pumping station and combines Yellow River scenery with modern water engineering. The large high-lift irrigation scheme built in the 1970s has 14 pumping stations in 6 stages with a total lift of 346 m, including a single 193.2-metre lift at the second stage, and irrigates 546,200 mu. Open to visitors since 1979 and named one of the "50 Views of the Yellow River" in 2018, it has the "Dragon-Head Cypress" linked to the legend of Yu taming the floods, a 12.33-metre statue of Yu the Great and the Zhuangyuan Bridge, with hovercraft and sheepskin raft rides.
