Daqinggou National Nature Reserve, at Ganqika Town in Horqin Left Rear Banner, covers 8,183 hectares and consists of the Daqinggou and Xiaoqinggou ravines; Daqinggou is about 24 kilometres long and over 50 metres deep. Raised to national level in 1988, it protects natural mixed broadleaf forest in the Horqin sandy land, with 709 recorded plant species.
