Danzhai Wanda Town, on the shore of East Lake in Danzhai County, is a national 4A attraction built and opened by the Wanda Group in July 2017 as the core of a targeted poverty-relief project. Built mainly in Miao and Dong architectural style over 400 mu, it has the world's largest waterwheel (a Guinness record), four squares themed on Miao and Dong culture and seven national intangible heritage crafts such as batik and traditional papermaking, along with Miao and Dong food and traditional Miao medicine. It has a drum tower, heritage courtyards, a sports park and a lakeside trail; the show "Splendid Danzhai" was launched in 2018, and a glass suspension bridge and cliff swing were added in 2019.
