The Site of Shangjing Longquanfu, historically called Huhan City, is in Bohai Town, Ning'an, 25 kilometres northeast of Jingpo Lake. It was the longest-serving capital of the Bohai Kingdom, becoming the royal seat in 755. The roughly rectangular site, made up of outer, inner and palace cities, covers 16.4 square kilometres and was in the first group of major national protected heritage sites.
