HotCha

Biography

HotCha was a former Hong Kong girl group formed by 3 members, debuting on April 4, 2007, consisting of Regen Cheung, Crystal Cheung, and Winkie Lai. The three members were discovered by Neway Star at different occasions — Regen participated in Neway's "Star Singing Competition" in 2004 and won third place, Crystal appeared in a promotional video in 2006, and Winkie was discovered at an anime festival dance competition in 2006. The group received training at the renowned Japanese entertainment school Avex before their official launch. In 2011, member Regen left the group to go on a working holiday in Australia, and the group temporarily restructured with two members. In August 2014, the group officially disbanded after 7 years, with the record label accepting each member's proposal to pursue separate careers. In 2018, the members reunited for a charity concert celebrating their 11th anniversary. On April 24, 2022, member Winkie announced on social media that she had no interest in reforming HotCha, making the group officially part of history.
