Cream
Biography
Cream is a Hong Kong girl music group consisting of three members: Lok Ka Po (Caro), Chan Hiu Tung (Hilda), and Lee Wan (Renee). The three members participated in a singing competition at a shopping mall in 2003, winning first, second, and fourth places respectively, and were discovered by their manager Peter Chiu, signing with Emperor Entertainment Group. The company announced the formation of Cream in December 2003, and they made their first public performance on January 1, 2004 at Times Square, officially joining the music industry in April 2004 as the youngest singers in Hong Kong at the time. In August 2006, Cream announced at the My Sunshine Concert that Chan Hiu Tung had been invited by a senior music school in Ireland to undertake a one-year music training course, while Lok Ka Po would focus on her studies, so both members temporarily suspended all activities with Cream, stating that "although the three are temporarily separated, Cream will always exist." Lee Wan continued to appear as Cream until she announced her solo career in October 2007, and the group disbanded in 2007. Chan Hiu Tung obtained a first-class honours degree from the Cork School of Music and later moved to Hungary to study Kodály music education at the Liszt Academy of Music. Lee Wan launched her solo career releasing records, performing in stage plays, and filming movies and TV series, while Lok Ka Po enrolled at the Chinese University of Hong Kong to study business administration.
