Face To Face (香港)

简介

Face To Face was a Hong Kong female duo music group composed of Connie Choi and Jodi Ng. The group debuted in 1990, focusing on image packaging similar to their contemporary female duo Echo, though Face To Face's songs were softer and more musically diverse, earning them considerable popularity. Their best-known songs include "Some," "Butterfly Dream," and "Infatuated Milano." On October 5, 1992, Jodi Ng and their manager were involved in a serious car accident while returning to their residence in Tseung Kwan O, colliding with a dump truck. The crash left her quadriplegic and her manager dead; she remained in a coma in hospital for 18 months before surviving. Connie Choi announced her retirement after the accident, and Face To Face disbanded. On January 4, 2013, Face To Face returned to the stage at a charity gala to raise funds for quadriplegic patients, with Jodi Ng performing in a wheelchair. On April 12, 2021, Jodi Ng passed away from cancer at the age of 54. The group won the Most Promising Newcomer Award (Merit) at the 1990 Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards and the Gold Award for Best New Group at the 1990 Ultimate Song Chart Awards.
