MC $oHo & KidNey

简介

MC $oHo & KidNey is a Hong Kong musical duo formed by two members of the YouTube channel 試當真. The first member is So Chi Ho (MC $oHo) and the second is Hui Yin (MC KidNey). The two met in 2005 when they were classmates in a Hong Kong secondary school. After graduating from university in 2015, they worked together on several online video channels. In 2020, they co-founded the YouTube channel 試當真 with Neo Yau. In 2021, they released the video "係咁先啦" and its eponymous theme song, which marked their official entry into the music scene under their stage names. The first single "係咁先啦" was released in July 2021 with a 1980s-inspired musical style, and while it appears to be about the struggle of leaving a party, it contains metaphorical references to the topic of immigration. The song became a major hit, reaching the top of the charts. That same year, they also released two other singles: "跌嘢唔好搵" and "Black Mirror". At the 2021 叱咤樂壇流行榜 Awards, the duo qualified as the only new group in the final five of the "My Favourite Group" category.
