Although he did not reach the finals, he and other contestants were enrolled in the 14th TVB Artiste Training Class, but he dropped out halfway and joined Asia Television (ATV). He began acting in ATV dramas in the late 1980s, initially in minor roles, before being assigned to host the children's programme "Flying Tigers". He was recognized as one of the "Twelve Stars" promoted by ATV in 1990 after his standout performance in the drama "The Blue Moon". He was known for his notable roles in dramas such as "The Chinese Hero" and "The Nine Princes' Struggle for the Throne". With the decline of ATV's drama production in the 1990s, he shifted focus to hosting, most notably the popular variety show "Today's Truth". In 2009, he hosted a programme on TVB's Life channel. Since the late 2010s, he has worked as a freelance actor in TVB and ViuTV dramas, often uncredited in the cast list.
