简介

Andy Lin Chi Chiu, formerly known as Lin Zi Chao, is a Hong Kong male presenter, actor, model, and dancer. Born on January 22, 1990, he grew up with one sister and began dancing at age fourteen, secretly imitating Aaron Kwok's dance moves while attending St. Marco's Secondary School. He joined the school dance club and, after completing the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination in 2007, enrolled at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, completing a two-year modern dance diploma. In 2009, he underwent open-heart surgery to treat a congenital heart condition and had planned to join TVB as a dancer. Instead, he went to Singapore in 2010 to study the Professional Musical Theatre programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, the only institution in Asia offering this specialisation. After one year, he felt acting opportunities were limited there, so he returned to Hong Kong and participated in the "CEO Selection Contest" on now TV, becoming a contracted artist primarily hosting programmes on the entertainment channel 102 Star Observation. Previously, he had worked as a dancer at the Asia Expo car exhibition, Ocean Park, and Hong Kong Disneyland. In 2015, he left now TV seeking acting opportunities, enduring a year of no income and considering becoming a flight attendant or dance teacher. In 2016, he entered the "Mr. Hong Kong 2016" contest but did not reach the top thirteen; however, a TVB producer invited him to teach dance on the children's programme "Think Big天地", and a kindergarten principal recognised his talent to teach arts there, so he decided to stay in entertainment. In 2017, he was invited by Mei Xiao Qing and Fang Jun Hua to join the TVB drama "Deep in the Heart of the Palace 2" as "Chen Ming Feng" as a freelancer, gaining significant attention for his refined acting. In November 2018, he officially joined TVB as a basic-contract artist and also opened a children's dance class "Andy's Star Dance" at the Green Seed Workshop. In September 2020, he joined Shaw Brothers as an artist and the following month co-invested HK$400,000 with Yang Liu Qing to open a fitness art school "Studio12" in Sheung Wan. In 2021, he joined the reality show "Dance King" to overcome scars from heart surgery but was eliminated in the tenth episode. In November 2025, he announced on his personal Instagram that he was leaving TVB after seven years, returning to freelance work.
