简介

An Dong is a Chinese singer of Yi ethnicity, born in Sichuan Province to a Yi family. Her father was a mathematics teacher at Guiyang No. 7 Middle School, and her mother was a school doctor at Guiyang No. 2 Middle School. She studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. An Dong served as a singer in the Air Force Political Work Department Song and Dance Ensemble of the People's Liberation Army. She rose to fame with the song "是你给我爱". In 1985, she married Yan Qingyong, a photographer at the National Aviation Department, in Beijing. In 1991, An Dong co-founded the Haoyun Badminton Club in Beijing with Li Lingwei, the wife of Yan Qingyong's brother and a famous badminton player. In 1992, An Dong divorced Yan Qingyong; the couple had no children. Later, An Dong remarried and moved to the United States. She participated in the CCTV Spring Festival Galas of 1987, 1989, and 1991. In 1988, she won the second prize (silver medal) in the professional pop category of the National Young Singers TV Grand Prix.
