简介

Billy Cheung Ping Keung is a Hong Kong voice actor born on 9 February 1948. He graduated from the Shaw Brothers' Nan Guo Experimental Acting Trouble Training Class, a predecessor to the TVB Artiste Training Class. He began his career as a film actor and voice actor, later working as a radio broadcaster at Radio Television Hong Kong, television actor, and program host. He briefly joined the dubbing team at Commercial Television, then moved to the dubbing team at CTV (Chiu Tai Television) in 1978, becoming a free-lance voice actor after the station closed that same year. In July 1980, he joined the TVB dubbing team as a full-time voice actor, though he had been dubbing for TVB part-time since 1971. Cheung served Shaw Brothers and TVB for over half a century, making him one of the voice actors who served TVB's dubbing department for more than 50 years. In March 2014, he won the Best Documentary Narrator award for "The Palace Museum 100" at the TVB Dubbing Team Awards Ceremony. His most iconic dubbing role is the main character Meng Bo in "City Hunter," which remains a classic. He was also the regular dubbing voice for numerous international stars, including the late American actor Robin Williams, the late British actor Sean Connery, Japanese actor Kenji Sudo, Korean actor Kwon Hyo-rang, and others. In 2021, he appeared in the variety show "Good Voice Good Acting" and received the "Hall of Fame Voice Acting" award. He retired in July 2021 and immigrated to Canada.
