简介
Philip Kwok Chui, born Chen Ju-lu on October 21, 1951 in Taiwan, began his career as a young acrobat and studied northern martial arts in Peking opera schools, where he met many martial arts stuntmen and entered the film industry. In 1974, director Chang Cheh noticed him during his role in "The Boxer from Shantung" (also known as "八國聯軍"), leading him to sign with Chang Cheh's Chang Gong Film Company. After the company closed in 1976, he followed Chang Cheh to Hong Kong and signed with Shaw Brothers, where he became a leading actor and action choreographer starting with "The Five Venoms" in 1978. In 1981, he returned to Taiwan with fellow actors to produce "Legend of the Sorcerer" under the Qi Tian Company. In the mid-1980s, he changed his name to Guo Zhuifeng and continued working as an action choreographer in notable films and television series. He won the Best Action Choreography award at the 6th Hong Kong Film Awards for "Misfire" and received nominations for "A Chinese Ghost Story" and "The Touch". He also worked on international films such as "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "Brotherhood of the Wolf". In his later years, he continued working with Hong Kong television networks on series like "A Fist Within Four Walls," "The Unholy Alliance," and "The Iron Fist."
