Randal Tsang Gin-mong

Biography

Randal Tsang Gin-mong was born in Los Angeles, USA in 1997 and moved to Hong Kong with his family at the age of three. He grew up in the 葵涌 area of 葵青 District and suffered from hyperactivity in childhood. He lost his father at age 16 due to sudden illness. He attended 聖公會仁立小學 for primary school and 聖公會林護紀念中學 for secondary school, where he served as secretary of the student council. He later enrolled at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to study accounting. Tsang is skilled in Latin dance, basketball, guitar, athletics, and handball, and was a member of the Hong Kong Latin dance team. He also entered the Taoist path at age 20 after accompanying a friend to exorcise spirits, traveled to 江西龍虎山天師府 temple, and obtained the qualification of a seventh-rank Taoist priest. He began his entertainment career in 2018 when he joined the programme #後生仔傾吓偈 after being interviewed on the street by the production team, and also became a host of the children's programme Think Big天地. In 2021, he joined TVB's management contract, appeared in the sitcom 愛·回家之開心速遞 as "湯米", and hosted a food programme. He gained significant recognition in 2022 through his role in the drama 金宵大廈2, where his acting was praised by netizens and his identity as a real Taoist priest became widely known. He was nominated for the "Most Improved Male Artist" award at the 萬千星輝頒獎典禮 in 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2025, he rose to fame through the reality show 女神配對計劃, advanced to the top five of the same award category, and ranked second on Google's list of most-searched local entertainment celebrities in Hong Kong.
