简介

Tommy Ng Leung Wing grew up in Wah Fu Estate, Southern District of Hong Kong Island, and was the third child in his family. He graduated from Kwong Yuet Kong Kai Yuet Primary School (afternoon session) and Shu Yan Secondary School in 1975. Due to his mischievous nature, his parents sent him to study at the Overseas Chinese Secondary School in Shantou, Guangdong, mainland China. After finishing secondary school, he worked as a jade apprentice, learning jade carving from a master, but after two to three years he developed a cough from inhaling jade dust and doctors found deposits in his lungs, so he decided to switch to working as an office assistant.

He was later introduced by a friend to work at an electrical appliance shop in Tsim Sha Tsui for two years, where he witnessed dishonest sales tactics, which later helped him portray swindler roles in "Police Report." He then moved to work at an audio shop on Sai Yeung Choi Street in Mong Kok, later starting his own electrical appliance business selling products like Picture King TV sets. After his lease ended, he switched to running a snack bar and fast food shop while also obtaining a taxi license to work as a substitute driver for extra income.

During this time, he met a taxi driver known as a "Taxi Star" who had worked as a freelance actor. This driver saw potential in Tommy and brought him to a casting company in San Po Kong to audition for temporary acting roles. His first role was playing a prisoner in the RTHK program "Behind the Iron Window." He was later introduced to work as a freelance actor at Asia Television, continuing his acting career. In 2001, while filming the TV drama "Su Dong Po," his martial arts scene impressed a martial arts director, who invited him to join the stunt team.

In 1997, a production company invited him to participate in filming "Police Report," and he remained a regular actor on the program until it ended. He became well known for frequently playing swifters in the program and earned the nickname "Police Report True Bro" due to discussions about him on the Golden Forum in recent years.
