简介

Berg Ng (Ng Ting-yip) is a Chinese actor from Hong Kong, born on 12 December 1961, who grew up in a housing estate in Tsz Wan Shan. He graduated from the 11th TVB Artist Training Course in 1982 but was not signed after missing a performance, leading him to join ATV's training course and remain with the network for many years. He became known for portraying villains, morally ambiguous characters, passionate lovers, and even weak roles, most notably in the "My Date with a Vampire" trilogy where he formed an acclaimed on-screen partnership with Cheung Man-tsi. In 1998, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as "Nomoto Shingo". As ATV reduced production, he shifted his focus to film and mainland China projects, appearing in works like "The Iron Detective" and "A Fatal Case". He is known for his close friendship with internationally renowned actor Tony Leung Chiu-wai, and in 2019 moved back to public housing to care for his mother.
