简介

Charlie Ng Kai Ming is a former Hong Kong television actor, singer, and composer associated with TVB. Born in Hong Kong in 1962, he is the elder brother of the well-known actor Francis Ng (Wu Qihua). He grew up in Hong Kong and spent his teenage years studying at Truro School, a boarding school in the United Kingdom. Upon returning to Hong Kong, he worked in his mother's hair salon before participating in the 1986 New Talent Singing Contest with the song "情已逝", where he advanced to the top thirty. He subsequently joined the 13th TVB Artist Training Course in 1987. He became known for playing villainous roles and was frequently mistaken for his brother Francis due to their striking resemblance. Charlie left the entertainment industry because he felt acting was passive and did not suit his proactive personality, and his role in the drama "大時代" was insufficiently prominent. After leaving acting, he worked as a securities broker at Emperor Securities until around 2009. In 2018, his composed song "Falling Down" was selected by South Korea's CJ Entertainment as the ending theme for the 2019 Korean drama "觸及真心". He also ventured into the culinary world, opening several restaurants in Hong Kong and mainland China, including "慢煮兩餐" in Hong Kong and "Around Wellington" in Central, after training under renowned chefs for over two decades.
