孟飛
简介
Meng Fei (original name Yang Anbang) is a Hong Kong actor of Chinese origin, born on May 25, 1951 in Shandong. He grew up in Shanghai, where he learned martial arts from his uncle. At age 15, he traveled with friends to Guangzhou and then illegally crossed to Hong Kong in 1970 after swimming for ten hours. In 1971, he was selected from thousands of applicants to work at Shaw Brothers Studio but did not stand out due to the abundance of stars. He rose to fame in 1972 with the non-Shaw film "Fang Shi Yu" and went on to star in over 30 martial arts films. His career extended to the Philippines, Taiwan, and mainland China. In the 1990s, he temporarily retired from acting and served as vice chairman of two companies. He returned to acting in the 2010s and in 2020 co-starred with his son Meng Xiang in the web series "First Class Lover." He is known for roles in Taiwanese, Hong Kong, and mainland Chinese television, and has been married three times with five children.
