龍方
简介
Long Fang, born on February 25, 1954 under his real name Li Jianmin in Tainan, Taiwan, where he was raised, was a Hong Kong film actor known for portraying villainous roles. He began his career as a freelance actor in the 1970s but faced stiff competition from other martial arts actors, which hindered his progress. In 1981, he appeared in the films 危险人物 and 何方神聖 before becoming a fish restaurant manager. In the late 1980s, director Wong Jing invited him to appear in 至尊無上 due to a need for a villain actor, opening doors for him to play antagonists. His role in the film 賭神 earned him the title "Hong Kong's God of Villains" and increased film offers until he resigned and worked as a full-time actor. In the early 1990s, he divorced his wife, who then emigrated to the United States with their daughter. In 2000, the film 賭聖3無名小子 was his last work before his health deteriorated and he developed a cough. Long Fang passed away on November 14, 2008 at a hospital in Chang'an District, Xi'an after being diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer discovered in May of the same year in Hong Kong. His relatives were unable to see him before his death, and his friends assisted with posthumous arrangements.
