魯文傑
简介
Lo Wen Jie was born in Hong Kong and attended Lok Sin Tong Ku Chuen Man Secondary School. He was discovered by Zhao Yun Chin while riding the MTR in his fifth year of secondary school and was offered a record company audition, but later declined due to lack of interest in singing. After graduation, he coincidentally learned about the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts open day and was accepted. During his first year, a senior encouraged him to film a Vita advertisement in 1992 in San Francisco, which led to contract offers from ATV, Shaw Brothers, and TVB. He chose to join TVB, hosting the children's program "Lightning Fax" and serving as the 1994 Children's Day Ambassador. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1995, refusing to abandon his studies for a management contract, which reduced his acting opportunities. Despite promising starts in series like "Forensic Heroes" and "Mysterious Files" as the protagonist's brother, his roles gradually diminished, turning him into a key supporting actor. He found greater success in theatre, being nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor awards, and winning Best Supporting Actor in Comedy/Farce in 2008 for "Popcorn Killer". In 2007, he wrote, directed, and starred in "The Watchman" for the first time, restaging it in 2009. He joined Hong Kong Television Network in 2012 and became a lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2013 after his son's birth. He currently teaches drama at the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre and serves as a program manager at Ocean Park, hosting the program "Grew Up With You" in 2021.
