简介

Teddy Lin Wai Kin (also known as Lin Jin) is a Hong Kong actor born on 15 September 1959 who grew up on Cheung Chau island in Hong Kong. He comes from a large family of eight siblings, being the sixth child, and his father was a grocery store owner. After completing primary school locally, he worked in his father's store before pursuing modelling, driven by ambition and fame, where he was a classmate of famed model Tony Leung Ka-fai in a modelling training course. In 1981, he joined the 10th TVB artist training course, where he was a classmate of Andy Lau (who attended the day school while Teddy attended the night school). He began his career as a TVB actor, then moved on to video recording before joining ATV where he became a leading star. When ATV reduced production, Lin Jin moved to work at Chinese-language television stations in Malaysia and mainland China, adopting his new stage name "Lin Jin". In 2001, he signed with Andy Lau's company. His first film with the company was "Fulltime Killer". He achieved widespread fame in mainland China after appearing in "Crazy Stone" in 2006, produced by Andy Lau, where his Cantonese catchphrases like "頂你個肺" and "你個奸商吖" became popular slang among Chinese audiences. He currently works as an artist under a film and television production company.
