Eric Li Yun Ting is a Hong Kong journalist and television host, born in Hong Kong in 1979. He received his primary and secondary education at Hong Kong's Catholic High School before his family moved to Montreal, Canada, and later to Vancouver, where he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in economics. He began his media career in Canada as an artist and news anchor at Vancouver's Fairchild Television before returning to Hong Kong in 2003. He worked as a news anchor at Cable News Channel and then moved to ATV's 24-hour news channel. In 2005, he returned to Cable TV but shifted to hosting entertainment programs and leading the entertainment news channel. He hosted several programs including "真实谎言" where he used body language to analyze emotions and detect deception, as well as various cooking, pet, and entertainment programs. In 2015, he joined TVB as a program host and hosted the famous show "东张西望", but his contract was terminated in 2017. He was also known for his romantic relationship with singer Kary Ng during his studies, and married a flight attendant in 2011, though his infidelity scandal in 2016 caused significant damage to his public image. He currently works as a client representative at a financial firm in Vancouver.
