简介

Gilbert Lam Wai Sun is a Hong Kong actor and television host born on July 6, 1962. He grew up in Hong Kong, where his father was a police officer and his mother worked at a restaurant. He trained in martial arts, learning Dragon Kung Fu and later Karate, achieving a black belt. Before entering acting, he performed in an international yo-yo show team, traveling to France, Norway, and Sweden, and became one of China's two "Yo-Yo Kings" before the age of 20. In 1986, he joined the TVB artist training course after being recommended by his brother. He started with minor roles in famous dramas like "Looking Back in Anger" and "The Greed of Man" but achieved little success, so he moved to Malaysia where he became a local star. In 1994, he returned to Hong Kong with a high-paying contract from ATV, hosting "Today's Headline" and starring in notable series. He achieved major success in the 1996 drama "The Good Old Days," winning Best Actor at ATV's 40th anniversary celebration. He also delivered memorable performances in "Asian Cops 1997," "Mu Gui Ying," and "Mad Phoenix," a classic portrayal of its titular character.
