In 1987 he signed with Godfrey Chi's film company and acted in "Ghostly Vagabond Thief Beauty". In 1999 he left ATV and went to mainland China. In 2005 he returned to ATV at producer Yeung Siu-hung's invitation to film "Happy Has Reason". In 2009 he attracted attention on the political satire show "Hong Kong Lam" by mocking legislator Leung Kwok-hung. He also joined HKTV as a contract artist, becoming the first in Hong Kong to be under exclusive contract with two TV stations simultaneously, with his first work being "The Borderline".
