高崗 (藝員)

简介

Gao Gang (1944–1980), born Su Tan-sheng, was a native of Sai Kung, Hong Kong, of the Danjia fishing community. He learned martial arts from childhood and became a martial arts actor with Hong Kong's Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). He appeared in numerous films and television series throughout the 1970s. On 5 August 1980, at only 36 years old, Gao Gang was shot and killed by an off-duty police sergeant during a dispute over a parking space in Sai Kung. The incident shocked the public and sparked debate over the arming of off-duty officers. His funeral was held at the World Funeral Parlour, attended by fellow TVB and RTV actors including Chow Yun-fat and Lau Dan. The officer involved was initially convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to five years, but was later acquitted upon retrial.
