ييك يو هونغ أو جوليان بينيديكت جارتنر هو رائد أعمال وممثل ألماني الجنسية، وُلد في 8 ديسمبر 1987 في ميونيخ ببافاريا بألمانيا. نشأ في ميونيخ في عائلة تعمل في المجال الطبي، حيث تمتلك عائلته مستشفى متخصص في الأنف والأذن والحنجرة. انتقل إلى سانتياغو بالولايات المتحدة عام 2003، وخلال رحلة بحرية إلى النرويج أثار فضوله معرفة الثقافة الصينية فبدأ بتعلم اللغة الصينية الماندرين وفنون القتال. حصل على منحة دراسية والتحق بجامعة هونغ كونغ عام 2006، حيث تخصص في العلوم السياسية والجغرافيا ودراسات الإعلام والثقافة. أسّس عدة شركات ناشئة في مجال التعليم والتقنية منها Live It China Limited وFlyp Limited وSnapask. دخل عالم الترفيه عام 2013 كممثل في مسلسلات وأفلام، ثم التحق كمتعاقد أساسي مع شبكة تلفزيون بي في بي وإخوان شو عام 2018. حقق أول دور ثابت له في مسلسل الخيال "降魔的2.0" عام 2020، كما شارك في برنامج المواهب "好聲好戲" عام 2021. عاد إلى ألمانيا عام 2020 لمساعدة عائلته في إدارة المستشفى بعد تدهور حالة والده الصحية، واستمر في العمل في مجالات التعليم والتقنية إلى جانب التمثيل.

He grew up in Munich in a medical family that owns an ear, nose and throat specialist hospital. He moved to San Diego in the United States in 2003, and during a sea voyage to Norway he became curious about Chinese culture after observing Chinese passengers playing card games, which led him to learn Mandarin and martial arts. He won several martial arts competition awards and later participated in an exchange program at the German Embassy in China, studying in Shanghai and Shenzhen. He received a scholarship and enrolled at the University of Hong Kong in 2006, majoring in political science, geography, and media and cultural studies. He co-founded several education technology startups including Live It China Limited, Flyp Limited, and Snapask. He entered the entertainment industry in 2013 as an actor in television dramas and films, and in 2018 became a contracted artist with TVB and Shaw Brothers. His first regular role came in the 2020 fantasy drama "The Exorcist's 2nd Meter" (降魔的2.0), which drew audience attention. He also participated in the talent show "Dub of War" (好聲好戲) in 2021. He returned to Germany in March 2020 to help manage the family hospital after his father's health deteriorated, while continuing his work in education and technology alongside acting.
