林祐陞
简介
Y.Siu, real name Lin Yousheng, is a Hong Kong pop music producer specializing in composition and arrangement, who has also released his own vocal performances. Since childhood he loved the guitar, and graduated from the Higher Diploma in Digital Music and Media at Hong Kong Design Institute, later returning to his alma mater as a teacher. In late 2019 and 2020, he participated as an arranger in the first edition of the "Mai Ban Zuo Yue" music creation and production talent cultivation program, being placed in a group mentored by music producer Edward Chan, and subsequently worked frequently at Edward Chan's production company Edward Music Production (EMP). On 9 July 2026, Y.Siu posted on Instagram announcing the end of his collaboration with EMP and his transition to independent work, concluding a six-year relationship and becoming the second protégé to leave Edward Chan and operate an independent music studio after T-ma. In his post he mentioned that he had lost his way during the creation process, "gradually shifting from pure creation to producing precisely calibrated products," clearly expressing that the songs produced during his collaboration with EMP were not the direction he wanted. On 28 August of the same year, Heibi Peng Yongxi released the song "Happy Breakup" produced by Y.Siu, but the song received harsh criticism from listeners of Commercial Radio CR2 on 23 September due to screaming in the chorus, raising doubts about his production abilities, and Y.Siu responded that this approach represented the direction he envisioned.
