Wilfred Lau Ho Lung
Biography
Wilfred Lau Ho Lung is a Hong Kong singer and actor, born on August 13, 1976. He grew up in a family with one sister and struggled with dyslexia from a young age, which made him dislike studying. He attended St. Joseph's Primary School and Soochow College, where Vivian Chan's brother was his classmate. In 1997, he participated in the "Global Chinese New Talent Singing Competition" organized by TVB and Capital Artists, winning three awards: Gold Medal, Best Performance, and Most Promising Artist. After that, TVB appointed him as host of "Sunday New Zone," but he never got to release his first official single due to Capital Artists' bankruptcy. He also participated in recording the song "Towards the Future" for Capital Artists' 25th anniversary and performed alongside stars like Anita Mui, Eason Chan, Edmond Han, Denise Ho, and Louis Koo. In 2004, he signed with Go East Entertainment and released his debut album "Start Up." His voice resembles Eason Chan's, and he achieved some success with songs like "思覺失調" and "二等天使," but his career did not go as expected. In 2007, he joined East Asia Music through arrangements by Denise Ho and his idol Hui Chi On. In 2010, he returned to Capital Artists under East Asia, becoming the first male singer to rejoin the label. In 2015, he moved to Sun Entertainment Culture, and in 2019 he obtained an internationally certified personal trainer certificate. In 2020, he co-managed the "Round Table Poker" YouTube channel, and in 2023 he co-founded "生意兄龍工作室" with Lam Shing Bun for entertainment production. In 2025, he served as a mentor on TVB's singing competition "聲秀," and in 2026 he joined Sony Music Entertainment (Hong Kong).
