Biography

Lai Kai Fung (Edward Lai) is a Hong Kong male singer, born on 8 February 1995. He loved singing from a young age and began composing music during his school years, while teaching himself piano and guitar. In 2018, he participated in ViuTV's talent show "Good Night Show 全民造星" as contestant number 5, but was eliminated at the top 99 stage. After that, he became a teacher while continuing to compose and perform music, singing at a restaurant twice a week. While performing one day, he was noticed by the operations director of Tucheng Entertainment who was dining there. After consideration, Lai Kai Fung decided to give up his teaching career and pursue his dream, signing with Tucheng Entertainment as a singer. On 10 January 2022, he officially debuted with his self-composed first single "三生有幸給挑選", a song about the relationship between pets and their owners, from raising them to their illness and passing, while the music video depicts how humans cope with parting from their pets and process their emotions. On 1 August 2023, Leo Ku announced the tenth installment of his "I Really Love To Sing" music project, where he and 30 emerging singers, including Lai Kai Fung, covered the 2005 song "星戰".
